Shadow Day Frequently Asked Questions
What can my student expect during her shadow day?
Students begin their shadow day by meeting up with their student ambassador in the GALS main office, who they will be paired with upon arrival. They will join their ambassador for Morning Movement and a few academic classes. They will get the real experience of being a GALS student!
What should my student bring on her shadow day?
Many students find that they are most comfortable if they join us in the GALS dress code. The simplest way to do so is to wear athletic clothing and shoes (yoga pants or sweatpants or athletic shorts, a comfortable t-shirt, a warm hoodie, and athletic training or running shoes). We recommend that students also bring a healthy snack (students are permitted to eat healthy snacks in class!), a full water bottle, and a notebook and pen/pencil. Your student won’t be on campus for the full lunch period, as pick-up is during the lunch period, but healthy snacks and full water bottle are recommended!
